What is the least crowded day of the week, typically? ....best time to avoid kids and school field trips?

I went early in the morning on a Wednesday. I found that there were few people there at that time. I would guess that anytime during the middle of the week would help avoid school trips.

Yes there is the Grant Park is near the Shedd Aquarium which is west of the Adler Planetarium. It is within walking distance. Best place to park is on the street (don’t forget to pay at the meter) if you can find a spot. If you arrive before doors open you should be able to find a spot.
