It depends on when you're going I've always been able to get right on but I've only had two or three people. It's a good idea to check on their first and if you do have to wait you can enjoy other areas of the Conservancy while you're waiting. It runs on a regular intervals so the weight isn't very long anyway. It's a very nice place to visit and the boat tour is interesting

The boat ride is about 40 minutes and is covered. I enjoy this. A lot of indoor displays. When walking around there are quite a few shaded areas. Some of the demonstrations/lectures are outside on bleachers. It would be a nice place to go regardless of the heat. If too hot you and guests can spend more time indoors (but highly recommend trying to see as much as you can)
