Normally snowing starts only mid of December in the hole Aletsch Arena - like almost everywhere in the European Alps. In November it's very quiet and most of the Hotels and Restaurants are closed from end of October until mid of December. Skilifts and most of the cable railways are not working. So I think it's not a good idea to visit the Aletsch Arena at this time. Only over 4'000 m on the glaciers you'll have a possibility for skiing in November e.g. Zermatt or Saas Fee. But for that you must be very fit and experienced. Sorry for that - got to South Africa, Indian Ocean or Atlantic and enjoy the sun in November!
