Hi - if alone I would buy a Tageskarte Frankfurt Flughafen (9.10 €) ticket which will get you to the museum and back again. You could take a normal train to the Hauptbahnhof (Frankfurt main rly stn) or relevant S-bahn then change at Hauptbahnhof onto the metro or U-bahn on route U4 - 2 stops via Festhalle/Messe to Bockenheimer Warte station. It is then about a 5-10 min walk to the museum. See link below for more info. It's a great Natural History museum with a small but excellent restaurant on the 1st floor. It is a very nice and relaxed museum. No need for reservation at all. The normal price is 9 euro (excluding audio guide), and student price in 4,50. Definitely worth a long afternoon. …
