As visiting the temples, shrines as well as bamboo forest during our tours are completely optional, any applicable admission fees are not included in the tour fare. When visiting a temple or garden with your guide during the tour, you will need to pay the admission directly at the ticketing booth, in cash. The bamboo forest and the Nonomiya Shrine in Arashiyama are free of charge. Should you have any further questions regarding our rickshaw tours, please contact us directly through our home page. Is the bamboo groves opening at night? I'll be going next year March.

According to my information, the bamboo groves/forest area is open 24 hours. Nonetheless there is not much lighting around and touring there at night is not recommended.
