Wassu is actually on the North bank of the Gambia river where stone circle is commonly visited by travelers and tourists. Getting to wassu community and stop there for over nights , then is best you you cross the ferry to Barra and join the GTS bus transport. On the other hand, if you want to stay on the island , Georgetown then, you have a choice to travel on any bank of the Gambia river.
