Weymouth College Stonemasonry is known internationally and offers purpose built training facilities for stonemasonry and building conservation. The Dorset Skills Centre, located in Poundbury, is situated in the heart of county with the magnificent Jurassic coastline never more than a few miles away In addition to our high success rates, students go on to pursue successful careers throughout the country and abroad and win national and international masonry and carving competitions, such as CITB’s UK Masonry Skills Challenge, the Stone Federation’s SkillBuild, World Skills and the European Stone Carving Festival. Weymouth College Stonemasonry offers a full range of leisure and accredited qualifications, from Diploma Level 2 up to Foundation Degree level, delivered by a mixture of highly qualified, full and part-time staff. We also work closely with stakeholders in the stone industry and building conservation to offer students work placement opportunities and study visit.
