Litchfield Middle School fifth-graders took on a literal meaning for “field trip.” Roughly 100 fifth-grade students traveled to the Greenleaf Waterfowl Protection Area just east of Strout May 22.
The district initially eliminated all elementary grade field trips this school year as a $90,000 cut in its 2024-25 budget.
