In the leadup to the 2025 Daytona 500 Chevrolet revealed its vision for an electric NASCAR racer.Despite being fully immersed in North American stock car racing for decades, Chevrolet is actively exploring the possibilities of an electric stock car series—seemingly ignoring everything General Motors knows about the average NASCAR enjoyer.

Chevrolet reportedly is discontinuing the ICE model while featuring the EV version. The Blazer SS EV will pace the Daytona 500.

Like the Ford, and like NASCAR's unbranded prototype, the three-motor setup makes the Blazer EV.R all-wheel drive. Those motors draw from a 78-kWh liquid-cooled battery, which is stored inside a modified Next Gen chassis. The car's suspension is also taken from that car, another common feature with the other two demonstrators.
