A 19-year old Leaving Cert student has pleaded guilty to the assault causing harm of a man in his 60s at a protest against a rumoured new accommodation centre for asylum seekers in Co Clare last year.

A new trial date has been set for Raymond Jarvis, the man charged in connection to the August 2023 death of 18-year-old Mercedeys Culligan.
