The simple answer is, no. HO and O are completely different scales ... Many veteran hobbyists suggest a 4'x8' central layout or an 8'x10' wraparound setup, at minimum, for HO scale builds.

HO and N scales are popular choices among compact layouts. HO scale trains, which are about half the size of traditional O scale trains, allow for realistic details while conserving space.
