A British ship flying the Falkland Islands flag has sparked diplomatic tensions with Argentina.
Most of the 30 or so vessels hoisting the Falklands’ flag — a British red ensign with a coat-of-arms featuring a ram and tussock grass — belongs to Spanish fishing companies.
The 58-year-old, of Laburnum Grove, Copnor, fought right the way through the Falklands War, and said he would be proud to see the Islands’ flag flying next to the Union flag.
