The first phase of Northport’s ambitious project known as River Run at Northport Shore is just months away from opening.

The City of Northport is expected to welcome the first phase of the Northport Shore development, River Run Park this fall.

The developer of the River Run Park was released to the area business leaders at the annual chamber dinner Thursday night.

Billed as the steepest man-made, lift-served run in the lower 48, the aptly named Rambo at Crested Butte Mountain Resort is brutal, unrelenting and usually somewhat terrifying to the uninitiated.
