2020年1月2日 · Nonsense. That's exactly what I did. Most will not notice a significant difference between 120 and 144 Hz. 60 to 100 is very noticeable, 100 to 120 you can definitely feel but personally I really don't care if my monitor is capable of 120 vs 144 Hz.

2011年3月6日 · My monitor will do 120hz, but I can only manage 100fps solid in BF3 & Crysis3. So I run at 100hz and lock my framerate. +1...and I do the same here. I use 100hz on my monitor, but I use adaptive vsync in all my games and they really look nice and play very smooth. The only time I use 120hz is if I'm playing in 3D which is only on occasion.

2024年12月24日 · They are displaying 4 unique frames for every 1 frame - click the X link and it shows in slow motion what it is doing. You can't display 4 frames for every single frame on a 120hz monitor for 60fps content.

2009年8月15日 · I think the difference will be when you're moving fast, or turning sharply. In a shooter game if you turn 180 degrees in a half second the view is changing by 6 degrees per frame update at 60hz refresh, which will drop to 3 degrees per frame update on a 120hz monitor, or only 2.5 degrees per frame at 144hz and 2.18 degrees per frame at 165hz.

2019年11月2日 · Get whatever monitor you like better, 120-165 Hz is barely any different, you might notice 240 Hz as a difference though. But when it is just 144 vs 120, look to which monitor is brighter+good contrast, has better response time, more adjustable stand, etc.

2020年11月29日 · Found another game that gave me bad motion sickness on 120hz, Hitman 3. At 60pfs my sickness went away, I try again with unlocked framerate and bam, motion sickness. It also didnt help that it was the solving the murder mission and all the time you are inside a building with narrow hallways and tall ways all the time.

2021年10月5日 · But if either of the YCC options are available/working, that should eliminate the possibility that the monitor only supports RGB (since the PS5 does not currently support 120Hz in RGB). As for the EDID issue: on PC, if a display reports that it can support 144Hz, it's probably also assumed that 120Hz would work.

2015年5月13日 · I would recommend running it at 120Hz when you're on desktop to save on power draw both by the monitor & your GPU. I cannot comment on how great it is for professional work too much at least not color wise. For pure multi-tasking it is amazing to be able to fit 3-4 windows next to each other & not have to alt-tab back & forth.

2024年5月1日 · The best way to do a locked 40fps is to use Special K, set your refresh to 120hz and VSYNC to 1/3 within the Special K settings for your game. You can ALSO use a 40fps fps cap on top (using Special K or RTSS). This will get you a cleaner 40fps cap than just using an FPS cap alone with VRR.
