2017年11月25日 · I replaced the gas valve in my furnace a few years ago, and I don't know whether the gas pressure and air feed are adjusted to suit the furnace. It is a Lennox G8Q2-110M, manufactured April 1967. The gas input rating is 110,000 btu/hr. At what pressure should I set the regulator? Or could I just set the pressure to achieve the 110,000 btu/hr input?

2018年2月3日 · I bought this valve and am ready to assemble the pipes but I am uncertain about which side of the valve the plugged hole goes on. Is it the supply side or the furnace side? It seems like it should be on the supply side so that the gas pressure at the furnace could be maesured with the shutoff valve closed. Thanks in advance.

2015年1月5日 · Conversions can be different valve to valve. Most involve spring replacement and pressure adjustment. Don't buy used furnace parts, and don't try and reuse parts off of the old valve. Valves can be bought pre-converted or conversion kits purchased separately. Do not try and run the unit without converting the valve. Major damage can occur.

2011年12月1日 · The valve works like a ball valve except that the rotating part is a "barrel" that is cone shaped (with a hole going through that aligns with the valve inlet and outlet). When installed the barrel is pressed into place and the cone shape (together with grease) allows spring pressure holding the barrel in place to seal it.

2010年5月20日 · You don't mention the type of valve you will be using. There are various types of locking devices out there for many different types of valves used on gas lines. I have, leftover from retiring, devices made for placing on ball valves approved for gas use. These just slip onto the valve, over the handle, and accomidate a padlock.

2012年1月25日 · I looked around Home Depot and they didn't have any caps where flexible gas lines and gas shutoff valve adapters were that were grouped with water heaters area. The other area of plumbing where rigid pipes were, they had a few rounded caps for 1/2" 3/4" and 1" I think.

2013年1月6日 · That way if the valve or burner ever needs to be replaced, you or the next home owner can do it yourself. Or you can ask him if he can rebuild it somehow to make it work for now to get you through the winter. Those key valves eventually wear out over time and the key does not fit properly over them anymore to turn gas off and on, like in your case.

2022年12月10日 · I just bought the Mr Heater 50,000 BTU Big Maxx unit heater for my garage. It came set up for Nat Gas but came with the LP conversion kit. Three orifice jets for the burner, a different spring for the gas valve.
