Xinchang County (Chinese: 新昌县; pinyin: Xīnchāng Xiàn) is a county in the east-central part of Zhejiang province, administratively under the municipal government of Shaoxing. 430,000 people live in Xinchang.

Xinchang is still a relatively obscure water-town despite the fact that it is located on Line 16 of the Shanghai Metro. This has started to change in the last 12 months, however, with it appearing in the China Daily newspaper and being used as the backdrop of a recent Chinese film.
