2024年3月1日 · Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve State Natural Reserve: Sporadic individual poppies are already starting to bloom. From mid-March to May, this park expects a variety of wildflowers to bloom.

Poppy Reserve Mojave Desert Interpretive Association (PR/MDIA) supports the educational projects and programs for school children and the visiting public at several State Park units.

The office is located in the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve west of Lancaster. From Hwy 14, take the Avenue I exit, and go west for 13 miles. Avenue I becomes Lancaster Road, and the Reserve entrance is on the right.

The non-native, invasive filaree has one of the highest plant densities on the Reserve. Although not proven, it is possible that filaree is a major competitor to the native poppy plants.
