This one, though, shows a sensitivity to all that's sumptuous in Art, and penetrates, rather thoughtfully, the artists themselves. Yearning and solitude. All artists are under the influence of other great artists; how couldn't they be?

This is Joni's original drawing for the final work that appeared as the cover for CSN&Y's "So Far" 1974 album. This work was then re-drawn for the album cover.

Joni drew this Brazilian Jaguar in support of Explorers Against Extinction's Sketch for Survival initiative. It was auctioned for charity in late 2021.

Joni's comments from the 1988 eclection art exhibition catalog: "Dog Eat Dog" was painted to be the cover of an album by the same name. The record company suggested I put my face on the cover instead.

Joni Mitchell, and her drawing with a bunch of roses sticking out of a horses ass, had the last laugh. In the lower right we see a goldfish bowl, a possible reference to the poem 'The Fishbowl' that Joni wrote in high school about fame and celebrity, another theme of the album.
