2022年8月3日 · This is a melanistic morph of the common red fox. I have seen one dead on the side of the road- extra sad bc it is so beautiful. My coworker caught one on a game cam on his property last year so they definitely exist in the NE USA.

Colorado used to have a breeding program for red foxes around Morison/red rocks for breeding melanistic foxes for their fur. Several individuals got out over time and eventually the thing was shut down for being inhumane, among other things, but there is now a large population of melanistic red foxes in the Colorado Rockies because of it

Then from there look at the animals in the family and see if you connect with them (like vulpes vulpes). THEN LAST find a specices that you feel like you identify as (like red fox).

Greys will almost always have a black or dark brown stripe running along the top of the tailbone. 2023年11月30日 · I'm a fox cladotherian (Urocyon, Vulpes, and Otocyon genera), but my main kintypes are red fox (any color morph), Rüppell's, fennec, and Blanford's. My most common urge/experience is probably vocalization. I'll make a wide array a chirps, screams, whines, and grows to display pretty much any emotion.
