Simultaneously, in that data directory, I saw only the five most recent images. When I clicked on the Bing icon in the system tray, two additional images - EmbeddedImage1.jpg and EmbeddedImage2.jpg - suddenly appeared IN ADDITION TO THE OTHER IMAGES. So the other images were still there, but Bing Wallpaper no longer knows about them.
