2020年11月22日 · Make sure the clutch on your drill is set low. I have only busted one tank and this is how. The drill went through and the clutch was set to high and when I went through the drill went sideways just a hair and cracked the glass. If the clutch was set low the bit would have stopped and the drill would have just kept spinning.

2015年7月30日 · As for the returns, I have done both ways. I prefer drilling, but on my 250 I opted to just make my returns go over the back. 1 because I couldn't physically move the tank to drill it, and 2 because a tank so large is rather expensive to replace. Like you said though, it might hinder the use of a lid without some customization.

2020年8月8日 · You CANNOT drill that tank. My experience is not from trying to drill a tank, but from just trying to drill tempered glass. It will start out looking like it will work, then it will suddenly be nothing more than a pile of very small pieces of glass.

2022年11月23日 · The slats keep fish in the tank instead of going through the drain. One goes outside the tank. It has holes in the bottom for the drain pipe(s) to the sump. The number of holes in the base you need will depend on the drain system you have planned. The inside and outside boxes are connected via the holes you drill in the tank.
