The museum collects artifacts and archival material from the railroad industry to exhibit and interpret their significance in American life and culture. Exhibits and general programs are provided year-round.

Proceeds from TrainTopia benefit the Museum of the American Railroad in Frisco, Texas. TrainTopia's year-round, air-conditioned space is provided by the City of Frisco's Community Development Corporation.

2024年6月30日 · The Museum of the American Railroad (8004 North Dallas Parkway, Frisco) conducts guided tours Wednesday through Saturday at 9am, 11am and 1pm. Reservations and tickets can be purchased online. TrainTopia model train exhibit is open Wednesday through Saturday 10am to 5pm and on Sundays 1-5pm.

The Museum of the American Railroad houses 65+ pieces of historic railroad rolling stock, many of which visitors and students can actually board. The Museum also offers TrainTopia, a 2,500 sq. ft. G-scale model train exhibit located inside the Frisco Discovery Center.

2023年6月28日 · Visitors have two visiting options: TrainTopia and indoor exhibits at the Frisco Discovery Center (8004 N. Dallas Pkwy., Frisco) or, weather permitting, guided walking tours of the locomotives and rolling stock. Walking tour participants are advised to bring water and be mindful of the heat.
