2017年1月31日 · The fence is crap and I'm planning on building a plywood top and fence, it will add surface area to the table and weight to the saw. Plus with a 3/4" top added with the smaller blade, I expect to easily get 2"+ for blade height. If one is looking to saw anything thicker, then a portable cheapie tablesaw is the wrong place to start.

2019年5月15日 · I was given a free Ryobi BR3000 with nearly every accessory made for it as my first table saw. It's in pristine condition and should be a great tool to start with. However, the rip fence has one plastic piece on the back side that has cracked preventing lockup on that rail.

2020年9月26日 · Ive only ever had one kick back using the saw (pre sacrificial fence) and it was doing a foolish beveled cut toward the fence that I should have known better not to do but thought id get away with it. Luckily no injury, but I was working in a large workshop at the time and the off cut was like a javelin which flew at least 20mtrs.

2022年5月31日 · I want to build a table saw table on casters, and possibly adding in a miter station as well. I currently have a Ryobi table saw that is just okay, so I’d like to upgrade to a better one. Is there a preferred brand of table saw that makes a fence upgrade easier or better? 2017年8月22日 · I’m currently building a table top with the saw built in for this purpose. From the factory my saw has about an 18 in rip capacity. You can make your own fence with T - Track along the front of the table. Outside of making your own fence system, aftermarket fence systems are available but they cost around 300 bucks US. diy tablesaw fence

2021年8月24日 · Honestly I really like Ryobi tools in general, but their table saw is junk. Dewalt 7485 or the harbor 10” table saw now has an exact copy of the rack and pinion fence if you need a 10” saw. Unless you’re ripping down 4x4s, 8-1/4” is fine.

2023年8月20日 · Odds are good that the cast aluminum table top is off as well. You are never going to get cabinet saw quality with $200 saw. Not saying this to be snarky, you just have to k own the limitations of what you are working with and set expectations accordingly. You will probably get straighter cuts with an inexpensive track saw.

2021年12月7日 · I'm a new woodworker with about 3 months of experience. Wanting to upgrade from a 10" 15A Ryobi table saw. Hoping the Ridgid R4514 opens up more possibilities for me (larger rips, dados, better fence, accuracy, etc.). Looking to buy brand new - it's on sale for $397CAD at Home Depot, and I have a $50 gift card so why not??

I'm looking to replace my entry-level Ryobi table saw with something with a bit more heft. Specifically, a saw with a more stable/square fence that can extend out a bit to accept more board width. It appears that the next rung of table saws includes the Dewalt and Bosch versions that run in the $500 range (with stands).
