TAIL DOCKING. Can the way we perform it affect sheep health?.
2015年4月17日 · The reason for docking originated a long time ago when sheep were predominantly a wool & meat production item. Too much wet manure on the tail in a warm climate can allow fly strike and maggots to infest the tail wool. In extreme cases the maggots can go to town on the flesh of the tail. It was predominantly a health issue in the beginning.
