In "Appetite for Destruction", Hiccup makes a bet with Astrid - if Snotlout comes to Dragon Island, she'll kiss him on the lips. When he did, she was aggressive and she threatened Hiccup, that if he says it, it will be the last words he ever said.

So they invite the two over for supper, and find out who is the better man for their daughter. Astrid finds it unnecessary though- because she already has a good idea on who she wants to court!

2019年7月6日 · Astrid and Snotlout can't go five minutes without insulting each other... and when Astrid's health is threatened by a too-long heat, that doesn't change a bit, not even when Snotlout volunteers to solve her problem.

When Astrid contracted the Scourge of Odin, Snotlout showed genuine concern for her well being. This showed that despite the roughness between them, Snotlout does care about Astrid as a member of the team.

Snotlout has a major crush on Astrid in the series and first film, and is shown to flirt a lot with her. However, this crush is one-sided, seeing how Astrid always ends up either mocking, ignoring or hurting him.
