So if you don’t need it for more than 30 days, cancel the subscription after the hardware has shipped, but keep the hardware. When you are ready to use it, reactivate the hardware and start paying then.

All future subscription payments will be automatically charged (via payment method on file) 7 days after the statement appears in your account.
