Word for Mac: Table in text is "stuck" on upper margin, cannot "grab" it to move it down to center (top/bottom) on page. This has happened before. Gnarly problem. Help me, I beseech you!

On the even pages, you have more content (it could just be an extra carriage return) in the header. This is pushing down the top margin on those pages. In Word, choose File>Options>Display and check the option Show all formatting marks. OK out. Now you can see what content is in the even headers, and adjust it to match the odd headers.

2016年3月11日 · The distance between the edge of the paper and the top of a header and the edge of the page and the bottom of the footer is controlled using File, Page Setup, and the Margins tab. The From Edge Header and Footer settings control this distance. Decreasing them moves the header or footer closer to the page edge and increases the space on the page.

The margins are not working properly. I set all 1" margins but the top and bottom of the page is cutoff by 1" instead of the cursor dropping down 1". The cursor drops at the very top of the page. How can I fix this problem?__

2016年8月30日 · However, when I type on my regular Word document, it does not display the 1 inch -- so when I am typing, it shows as if I was typing at the very top of the document. But when I click Print Preview, the document does display the 1 inch margin being there. So the 1 inch margin is there, but just not when I am typing on the document itself...

2012年3月31日 · Top and bottom page margins are honored unless there is text in the header or footer that takes too much room. This would shrink the text area toward the center of the page. If your problem is in the footer, go there through View > Header and Footer in the main menu bar.

On the Layout tab of the Page Setup dialog, make sure that the Page>Vertical Alignment is set to Top. If it already is, if you send me a copy of the document, referencing this thread in the covering email message, I will investigate the issue.
