Almost have this completed. A temporary solution to use this with DSX for the virtual Xbox/virtual DualShock emulation. This does not save the setting to the controller like how the PS5 does it, but a good enough temp solution when using DSX. UPDATE: Extra button assignment is now fully operational and v2.4.0 is now live on STEAM.

They sure won't refund you the price of the controller or get you unbanned if something goes wrong on their end, and contacting the gaming companies rarely ever helps in regard to unwaranted bans because of third-party softwares such as DSX.

Steam input is so easy to use I don't find 3rd party software to be necessary. Most of my non-steam games also have dualshock/Dualsense support so DSX is not necessary. Also, I haven't tested the newest build of DSX, but from what I've used in the past, it's clashing with the native Dualsense support on any games I tried.

Under the "Home" tab in the top right corner, you should see the "Controller Emulation" setting set it to DualShock4 and minimize the app (it has to be running in the background)

Jan 10, 2022 · It doesn't need to be with Big Picture mode on. You just need steam open. However when using Big Picture mode, you can have custom profiles for every game. Basically you can use DSX to make the Dualsense have a 2 stage click, and use steam to set different actions to each of those stages.
