2010年9月27日 · Stock suspension for a 64 SS? I think the only SS that came "standard" with the heavy duty suspension was the 409 ci option, but can't verify that. I think the heavy duty suspension was also an option on any SS in 64. I also know of this website which may be able to help you out: Chevy restoration parts, 64 Impala frame and suspension.

I have the original bill of sale which shows the following options: 4-speed trans $236.75, 340 hp 409 $24?.10, positract axle $43.05, am/fm radio & speaker $150.15 (I was surprised by the cost of this in 1964),tinted ws $21.55, and padded dash $18.30.

2022年11月22日 · 1964 Chevy Impala wagon. 350 crate engine with 4bbl, cam, shorty headers. TH350 3 spd automatic. American Racing wheels. Speed rated radials. All new rubber bushings and seals. All glass works. New interior (seats, carpets, roof liner) This car is straight as an arrow. All moldings are there. Has Vintage A/C unit. Runs and drives like a charm.

2008年3月25日 · I know it will take even more time. The Impala was rust free and required little rust repair other than some simple "metal bumping". I have detailed costs in spreadsheet format associated with the 409 build from the Impala SS, along with other costs. I'm extremely frugal in shopping for parts, but try to go "top shelf" when I can (not cut corners).

2007年8月31日 · Hey Him, I am looking for a 1964 parts car with a good fairly rust free frame under it. These cars were known for the center where the frame comes together under the car for rusting out.. I need a 2 door,doesn't matter if it is an Impala,Biscayne etc. cause a 4 dr is a couple inches longer than a 2 door.

2013年4月15日 · I have a 1964 Impala that I just bought. the old man I got it from stated that it was an original 64 SS 327 3 on the tree. He also stated that it was 1 of 1500 produced. I look all over the internet and the only 3 speeds are 283ci. How can I verify the numbers matching, and if the car is as rare as he stated.
