2015年9月30日 · My Amazon FireTV Remote quit working after not having used the device for a few months. Added new batteries, no change. Took a careful look inside the battery compartment and noticed some corrosion on the bottom contact (I assume from leaving the old batteries in too long?) Took a little steel wool and buffed the contact to get back to bare metal.

I could not get the remote to operate the firestick and unfortunately the Wifi was not connected yet so I could not yet use my phone App. Turned out my remote was not working.
