2014年2月14日 · Just throwing it out there, the local POCO just upgraded all their voltage testers to the Fluke T-pro +, it's a voltage tester that has a wiggie and digital, and visual lights, also can detect phase rotation on polyphase systems, the + part is a NCVT also in the kit.

2014年5月11日 · The tester in this link is not a DC non-contact tester. It says in the description that it needs to CONTACT the wire for DC measurement. There are no DC non-contacts. To answer the OP's question, the best low voltage AC non-contacts are the Fluke, and the Klein.

2018年2月9日 · The solenoidal Wiggy or Volcon is a dinosaur that should be relegated to the trash heap. I gave mine away years ago and switched to the digital ones when their first appeared on the market and I have never looked back. The T+ Pro is the absolute best basic voltage tester I have ever used.

2015年5月20日 · I just won an eBay online auction for a Greenlee 6808 tester. (Eat your heart out, if you know and appreciate this tester) I see people online asking for help to find one. I paid $233.57. I consider it the best tester ever for my residential work. I have two or three of them having had to replace parts to keep them working along with a spare.

2023年12月4日 · The Etcon VT154 is a nice made-in-USA solenoid tester with continuity but it looks like Etcon's recently gone out of business. You may be able to find one somewhere before they're gone. The Ideal Vol-con is a real solenoid with a continuity tester, but the last ones I saw, the leads were absolute garbage.

2022年6月17日 · I have a knopp and a older SQD solenoid tester. Bought them when I was doing residential. After I moved up to commercial and industrial they went into the drawer. Freeport McMoran will not allow a solenoid tester on their properties. But they allow non contact testers.

You can also have a situation where you are getting induced voltage in a wire, or when dealing with an unterminated ground, a capacitance can be introduced on the wire (aka ghost voltage) that will read hot when not.
