With six miles of traditional festoons, tableaux and interactive features along the Promenade, no wonder it’s commonly known as the greatest free light show on Earth! Blackpool Illuminations are shining nightly until 5 January, 2025, as we welcome another extended season.

Blackpool Illuminations is an annual lights festival, founded in 1879 and first switched on 18 September that year, [2] held each autumn in the British seaside resort of Blackpool on the Fylde Coast in Lancashire.

The 2024 Blackpool Illuminations stretch from Starr Gate to the south and Bispham to the north – over six miles of thrilling lighting displays. The whole spectacle is completely free for all to enjoy although there will be a chance for visitors to donate.
