Founded in 1966, Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp is a summer school of the arts located on a 1,600 acre campus in Michigan’s Manistee National Forest, offering fine arts education for all ages.

In a camp setting such as Blue Lake, students have the opportunity to learn and grow as individuals, and the time away from family fosters independence and individuality in a structured, educational setting.

Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp aims to inspire young artists to achieve their best potential, both artistically and personally. We, therefore, strive to recognize the unique spirit of each student and eliminate barriers that hinder an individual’s growth potential.

Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp is located in West Michigan’s Muskegon County, with only a short drive to Whitehall, Montague, Muskegon, Grand Haven, Spring Lake, Pentwater, Grand Rapids, Holland, and Ludington. Our campus sits on 1,600 acres of wilderness within the Manistee National Forest area.

Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp annually employs more than 700 people as members of our instructional faculty, counseling and health staff, and local support staff. Seasonal employees work together to provide an outstanding summer camp experience for our participants.

The Advanced Scholarship Program includes significant scholarship assistance for advanced percussion students who qualify for the Blue Lake Advanced Percussion Ensemble Program in sessions 1 and 2 (entering grades 9 – 12).
