The newer Russian AK-100 series has a 5.5mm hinge pin. the bolt stem of the AK-100 series is the small diameter which lightens the bolt and increases the bolt carrier weight giving a more reliable bolt to bolt carrier weight ratio.

I am looking at either the all steel, or the slab-sided polymers with steel lugs and steel reinforced feed lips. The polymers are around $3.00 more expensive. Opinions?

2023年3月11日 · Went a little crazy in the Golden Age of C&R. Three Makarovs, East German, Bulgarian, and Russian. The Russian was not C&R and has those required adjustable sights. CZ's were $180.00 with two magazines, ambi holster and cleaning rod. I bought seven. First one I broke down for cleaning and saw no rifling in the barrel. Those cheats!

2022年7月8日 · While the Bulgarian pistols are nice, they aren't as well made as the Russian or East German versions. I don't know if I would buy any of them for $500 unless it was an unissued one or had some type of special collectors value. I bought my Hungarian PA63 years ago for $120 after tax. Those have really jumped up in price too.

Anybody build from AK kits here on the board? Most of the the demilled AK kits now have chopped barrels. I have a barreless kit and looking for a 4 MOA or better barrel and seeking opinions. Arsenal Saiga SGL's with cold hammer forged barrels seem to be capable of very good accuracy. I've seen...

2018年7月22日 · I have 17 Makarovs. Russian, Bulgarian and Russian. 9x18, .380 and 22LR caliber. So you might say I like them. Once, using a new right from the box, Bulgarian Makarov, I tried to get it to malfunction in the first 1,000 rounds. 500 JHP and 500 RN.

2012年8月15日 · My preference is for Bulgarian and Russian AK's. My single favorite is my Krebs AK74k, though that is about to change. I am in the process of buying a Class 3 shop. One of my top priorities is to have one of my AK74u kits built. That's my holy grail rifle.
