2009年12月12日 · i work off of 2 horses w the box of tile on my right and a tile I use as a cut board on my left. u will want a cut board. place the tile your cutting on the cut board. depending on what type of grid your using 1/2" or 9/16" you should have any where from .25" -.5" of tile from where you first cut to where the new score mark on the tile is.

2009年4月15日 · Mix your thinset on the stiff side, flat trowel the ceiling, spread the thinset onto the back of the tile with your notched trowel using at least a 1/4 x 3/8 x 1/4 square notched trowel. I like to use a 1/2 x 1/2 square notch. Push the tile onto the ceiling reeeeal good, it'll stay.

I left the last full tile row out and that is were I walked all the time in from. Then for the can lights I put them flush with the bottom of the joists and made the ring trim cover the inch gab between the tile and the light.

However, they also tiled the shower. The homeowner paid for expensive tile, payed extra for decorative inserts, etc.

2008年1月29日 · I'm a drywall & ceiling contractor.If you go to any commercial drywall supply you will find the ceiling tile stored in an unheated warehouse with the drywall.As long as it's stored on a dry,solid,flat surface it should be fine.
