2018年5月4日 · Once your satisfied you've done as much as you can with the commercial leveler and the leveling agents, then do the following to get the floor perfectly level or as level as desired. Clean the slab and again mark all of the low areas using a marker. Then pour concrete paint on the low areas and drag a 6ft straight edge over it.

2008年12月31日 · I just bought a 1950's house in Cleveland. There is a 4x4 entry area that was linoleum over some kind of core board adhered directly to concrete. The floor refinisher guy sanded down a small spot just far enough to determine there was no wood.The lino came up easily, the core board is difficult, and the adhesive is rock hard.

2021年3月12日 · Not a lot of sq footage, otherwise I would have rented an industrial concrete grinder rather than a handheld.. It really worked like a charm. I did use a Festool dust extractor and it worked great along with the dust shroud for containing the dust. I’ve used what I think was Festool’s Saphir abrasives on concrete before.

2023年2月17日 · No, never paint concrete, especially in any wet location. Yes, folks will swear you can use garage floor paint. If me, I'd clean the concrete, acid wash, perhaps spread a layer of self-leveling compound and then stain and seal it. Looks great, easy (careful of the acid wash).

2025年2月2日 · That floor is mud bed ready for tile. It's got tile marks. That means it is sloped. Tile pans, far as I know, must go on top of flat surface. You probably should remove the dry pack and get to the flat/orginal floor. If you keep building on top of it, there is a chance it will fail in time. Schuluter shower pan is flexible foam.

2012年2月1日 · I would wash the surface, removing any mildew, mold, grease and other contaminants. Scrape any areas that have loose paint, hit the whole surface with an orbit sander with 80 grit and then I like applying Sherwin Williams Armorseal Tread Plex. Tread Plex is a little better than there Porch and Floor enamel.

2024年3月19日 · About 900 sq ft of very non-flat concrete slab. 2" height difference from highest to lowest. Worst case is 1" drop over 6 feet. So the floor must be flattened, therefore leveled, throughout the house. House is currently gutted so now's a perfect time to deal with this.
