The Indiana Ethanol Producers Association is a trade and advocacy organization devoted to supporting and growing the state’s vibrant biofuels industry. The IEPA is supported by member plants who comprise the organization’s board of directors and officers.

Verbio acquired South Bend Ethanol, LLC, an operating ethanol plant located in South Bend, Indiana. As a global leader in the renewable energy industry, this will be Verbio’s second US production facility following the successful commissioning of its Nevada, IA plant.

Indiana ranks 5th in the nation for corn and soybean production. With 15 ethanol plants and several biodiesel plants, Indiana has the opportunity to produce approximately 1.4 billion gallons of ethanol and 100 million gallons of bio-fuel each year.

IBEC is a 60 million gallon per year ethanol producer located near Rensselaer, IN. IBEC annually processes 20 million bushels of high quality, Indiana produced corn into 60 million gallons of fuel ethanol as well as 144,000 tons of high protein dried distillers grains.

POET Bioprocessing - Shelbyville began operations in May 2020. The state-of-the art facility will consume approximately 28 million bushels of locally-grown corn to produce 98 million gallons of bioethanol annually.
