Created by France and Germany in 1992, Eurocorps is composed of 6 Framework Nations and 5 Associated Nations. Since 2009, all those nations are solidly linked together by the Treaty of Strasbourg which confers Eurocorps its own legal capacity and makes it a unique truly multinational army Corps.

Linked with NATO Command structure and the Command and Control (C2) of the European Union’s (EU) missions, EUROCORPS still keeps its autonomy and is available for both organizations after a unanimous decision of the Framework Nations taken by the Common Committee (decisive body of EUROCORPS).
