Gendry (or Edric Storm if you're reading the books), is the rightful king of the Seven Kingdoms whether you follow the Baratheon line OR the Targaryen line. We all know about his link to Robert, who had no trueborn heir, but only a Legitimised bastard in Gendry, who became lord of Storms End. So all good there.

2023年6月28日 · Gendry is the last surviving male of House Baratheon. Whoever's in charge is going to uphold the Legitimization for that reason alone. This is literally the best and only situation where Gendry would have a chance to take the throne.

And both of them could meet someone else. If they don't marry, I expect them to stay friends without benefits. If they do marry, neither can go be smallfolk, and since Sansa will likely be alive, Arya won't become Lady Stark or QitN. So GRRM will probably kill off Edric Storm and make Gendry Lord Baratheon. His only value is the in the strong Baratheon features he has and using them to prove that Cersei's children aren't Robert's. But that's such limited use, and a use that he already has Edric for, that there's no point in doing anything for Gendry.

2019年5月3日 · FYI, Gendry cannot be legitimized unless done so by the Lord Regent or Robert Baratheon. He has no claim to the throne. The Lord Regent /WAS/ Ned Stark, and it may pass down to bran. So Bran, if the Lord Regent title passes on could claim Gendry as the rightful heir to the Baratheon family. Instead Bran will warg into a snail and afk.
