2020年5月29日 · The Gerber Silver Knight (I believe with G2 steel) was the first big OEM export order for a then long established but small knife maker called Sakai Hamono. That was in 1976/77. The Sakai family were so grateful that they renamed their company to Gerber Sakai, now known as G.Sakai.

2002年11月27日 · As for the steel blades themselves, Gerber has been using some really crappy stuff. But unlike the Paraframes, they seem to cut okay. Gerber, as of a few years ago, made the conscious decision to fall back on their reputation and use crappy blades billed as "surgical stainless steel," which almost universally means garbage steel blades.

2002年1月29日 · I can't copy and paste the relevant paragraph, but apparently, after WWII ended in 1945, the Gerbers got back into the knife business, and Francis "Ham" Gerber took to naming knives after legendary blades: Excalibur, Balmung, Joyeuse and Miming for the steak knives.

2008年4月10日 · It is an extremely rare Gerber Autopsy knife. You know, the ones that cut open dead bodies. It measures more than 18" (!), and the blade is 12.5"! It appears to have been lightly used (yes, gross...I know), but is in excellent condition. It is a very good quality knife, as Gerber made excellent knives back in the 70s.
