2015年12月25日 · Saw a Youtube video of Ryron and Rener discussing how they teach Combatives at the Gracie Academy (there is not one even close to me)... 36 techniques that are used to manage the distance between you/opponent, not suitable for competition... 2013年2月1日 · One is (arguably) the top competition school in the area, the other is a traditional Gracie JJ school. The GJJ school has a fundamentals class where they teach the 36 most important techniques of GJJ. I also noticed that Rener describes the Gracie Combatives DVD as containing the 36 most important GJJ techniques.

2012年6月4日 · Over time I realized that sport Jiu-Jitsu evolved from basic core techniques like Gracie Combatives. If you're going to truly represent Jiu-Jitsu, you should at least know the 36 techniques taught in the combatives program. It doesn't matter if you go through Gracie University or whatever but you should still know them.

2011年4月27日 · I don't think the Gracie academy advocates or advertise's the combatives stuff for use in a sportive setting. So having the phrase "bad for the sport" isn't all that applicable. I for one really like the set (i bought the dvds), i do train @ a normal bjj school, and use them more as an addendum to the techniques I normally use/train.

2011年8月22日 · All hrs are not to include time spent watching the material, only the drilling/sparring portion. 36 lessons with roughly 80+ techniques in the combatives curriculum and test recommended time times per lesson is 3X. This first stripe seems to be 160 techniques. They video test at the ctc even if it has a black bet instructor.

2017年8月4日 · Still doing the 36 techniques which the Gracie Combatives cover.. It's that stage between Gracie Combatives and Blue Belt which I can't seem to get any info on.. Not sure if there is anymore learning or just rolling for a further 6 months.

A bunch of videos that was released with the goal of promoting blue belt online by then sending videos etc It just reminds me of krav maga instructor course that are offered on a weekend basis. And spreading the fear that a bjj sport is useless in a street fight etc. I am not just not into it.
