2009年10月19日 · Price-wise the MSRP of Color Box is a lot more than the Broughton but good luck finding an S1 for MSRP. I've both bought and sold multiple S1s for more than $500 and you can pick up a used ColorBox v2 for under $400. I currently have one of each and I'm seriously considering selling off the S1 and keeping only the Color Box.

But I have a Gallien Krueger MB500 and the DI in it has nothing to envy the Colour Box. They are both different, both great. But I dont need both.

2020年7月17日 · colour box is based on the colour box 500 series preamp. its designed like a channel strip. the origional inspiration was the beatles revolver tone of overdriving the inputs on the console, as a guitar pedal, but with version 2 it's designed to more emulate a recording console. i use mine for recording upright bass all the time and it sounds great.

2020年6月21日 · The color box is cool and has a neat flavor but it’s definitely a pedal in tone and quality. Would be a nice tool for a flavor on a thing but a GAP could be the only tool and get it all done. Same goes for the lifter pre, it’s cheap and will work for most everything... will make the mic way more versatile
