Hi guys- new to the forum and kit foxes in general, I have already bought a vans rv7a but have discovered that my mission has changed. I am considering buying a kit fox in flying condition, my questions are this- obviously there are big changes between the different models, does it make sense to buy a older version (like a 2,4 or 5) and upgrade it?

This post is for all of the non kitfox owners and people checking out the kitfox. I got my PPL just about a year ago and I have been getting the bug to build an airplane.

I plan on purchasing a kit and there are already factors surrounding me that lead me towards the Rans S7 courier. One is a small local flight school using that aircraft and two, a very Knowledgeable builder close by for the S7.. that being said there seems to be a number of kitfox enthusiasts out there...

2016年2月20日 · But then sitting next to your passenger (Co-Pilot) is nicer. The controls on the Carbon Cub are far heavier than the KitFox. As for Stol performance, most of us seldom get good enough to really use the full Stol capabilities of either plane. The Kitfox with a good 912 and maybe a Zipper kit or a Turbo may perform nicer than a Carbon.

I get that the Kitfox is basically the default kit bush plane. I even drove to the factory a few years ago to buy one but left empty handed. Had I placed a deposit that day I would have a kit now, but with that being said I never took the time to look at anything else except kitfox.
