2020年1月31日 · Paid $50 at Amazon which is about a fourth of what a traditional lap steel stand costs. It is solid, doesn't wiggle and very comfortable to use and my legs tuck nicely under it. I took a plank of 3/4" of whatever wood (have no idea) and cut it to the size of the top of the table and covered it with rubber shelf liner to set the guitar on.

2024年7月6日 · The whole situation with lap steel stands is vexing. Other than vintage one-leg stands and the Asher stand, I don't think there are any lap steel-specific stands on the market. I know lap steel stands are a niche market, but there are plenty of manufacturers with the capability to make stands and, in all likelihood, price them less than the Asher.

2015年3月24日 · 2) A Morrell lap steel stand. This only works with a few guitars, but works fine for my Rickenbacker lap steel. 3) A keyboard stand. This works pretty well for guitars with a flat back, but isn't as adjustable for my height and doesn't look as cool. There are lots of other discussions about playing standing up.

2013年3月29日 · Here's the stand in its original configuration, showing a Silver Hawaiian. This is the stand after installing the removable bracket for my original stand, which is adjustable for size. The stand will now accommodate the double neck, and seems to be very sturdy. Here is the stand adjusted for a frypan, also fits very nice.

I use an ON STAGE folding keyboard stand that fits my cheap lap steel perfectly and you can also raise it so you can stand and play as well. They are avaialbe at ZZ Sounds for about $30-$40 and can hold 300 lbs. Just my humble opinion is all! Keep the faith! _____ "Steel players are like fine wine, we get better with age"

2024年4月25日 · I have an Asher universal lap steel stand, and I wonder if anybody can give me some operating advice. I use it with a 50’s Rickenbacker Panda, a 1930 National square neck tricone and a Weissenborn. I have a couple of issues.
