2024年9月7日 · If you can find an engine its worth 30 mechanical parts to salvage it. True, but it's much harder to find an engine than mechanical parts. :D But RNG is RNG so yeah, it's possible. :) But once you have the wrench or ratchet, it's engine o clock, so worth early investment.

However, I need mechanical parts to build a wrench and I'm having problems finding them without having a wrench already. Trader doesn't have any parts or wrenches.

2020年9月4日 · If you happen to find an engine in a car or anywhere else, they scrap down in your inventory to 30 mechanical parts. Otherwise, the trader can sell them to you. Being that far from a trader is a bit harsh. Without a wrench, it's not something you'll easily find unless they are in random boxes.

2021年5月12日 · One thing I've noticed - anything furniture or item with wheels or that looks like it rotates tends to get you mechanical parts when you wrench it. Office chairs, as mentioned, are a great and plentiful source. Shopping carts, wheeled toolboxes, ceiling fans, plumbing valves, etc.

2023年6月19日 · Don't go for main loot only. Loot everthing as The Pimps intended and you'll get mechanical parts as rare random loot. Save a few early on (don't remember whether a quality 1 wrench needs 5 or 10 parts) for when you found enough magazines enabling you to make the wrench. Day 12 is definitely late.
