2007年3月11日 · Thanks for the reply. I had the same thought about stopping Medicare Easy Pay since Social Security payments are at least four months away. However, Medicare might then just send paper bills which would still leave a problem to resolve. I should probably call Medicare and find out the best way to proceed.

2018年8月12日 · * Since Part D Irmaa is a fraction (less than 10%) of the total Medicare premiums, it may still make sense for those with large Part B Irmaa to pay the Part B portions by cc and always maintain a 1 month credit (or however far ahead you care to pay) while the Part D Irmaa gets automatically withdrawn monthly from checking account via Easy Pay.

When she signed up for the spousal benefits, the SS rep told her that that Medicare would automatically take care of the double billing. She was correct.
