If you don't want mycelium, just hand it to someone else and tell them it's yourcelium. Jokes aside, I'd just get a good shovel and go to town on a large area, personally, or just topcoat the stuff in grass. I tested the sky roof thing and mycelium won't die from just lack of skylight, it needs blocks directly on top of it blocking light.

Then I switched to a shovel without silk touch so I would get dirt blocks. Replace the mycelium with dirt and place grass block "seeds" every so often.

A mycelium block can spread to any dirt block within one space above, one sideways, or three down. The mycelium needs light level 9+ above it and the dirt needs light level 4+ above it, and must not be covered by any light-impeding block or any opaque block. Grass won't work for this.

2014年5月3日 · So, I made a farm out of the Mycelium block I got from a challenge. There's no other way to get Mycelium. I was hoping to get some good money from farming the stuff. Oh well. I guess I'll have it just sit there till I magically get a silk touch item.I know that you're supposed to use a shovel for Mycelium, but does a pick work with silk touch?

If you want to keep the same terrain, you can cover sections, wait a while for the mycelium to convert back to dirt, then mine up most of the cobblestone. Leave some around the edges to keep it from spreading back into the cleared area.
