My latest Adidas (Boston 11 and Solar Glide GTX) just don't make me want to put them on like Nike. I'm always just a little bit disappointed whenever I get a new pair of Adidas. No WOW feeling.

Having said that, you got to prioritize your goals and pick your shoes accordingly and in my experience Nike and Adidas are both shit for actual running performance. Assuming we’re talking aesthetics, I think Nike has the best design language. Those pink and orange Vaporfly 3 are so lovely (seems like they were everywhere too.) Quality-wise, I think Adidas has the better quality across their entire suite of shoes. However, Nike’s VF and AF still seem like they’re the standard to be compared against.

Nike's stands out at the moment with the React system which seems to be the next gen in regards to energy return, supposedly supplanting Adidas' Boost system. Hence why there was all the hype about the Nike Zoom Vaporfly 4% shoes a while back that were said to increase your performance by 4%.
