I tend to accumulate huge sets of roms that I don't have time to play, and often include games that are not worth the effort. Having a selection already created helps a lot to avoid this problem. I've also downloaded the rpg packs, which are going straight into my main "handheld" (old Android phone + 256 GB SD card + Razer Kishi combo).

Sometimes the files you download are in .zip or .7z format which is compressed. Some RetroArch systems can play the condensed files but most systems cannot so you’ll have to extract the files.

Over time, nerds decided to start collecting ROMs the same way they collected physical games and the rest is history.

Also, the top 25 might also be missing some great titles as everyone's taste is different.
