Dec 25, 2017 · All the dragons in the game will either be legendary or 3-stage which means 125 candy minimum. Altaria is the only 2 stage dragon, and Swablu isn't even dragon. CP-wise, Altaria is dead last among all fully evolved dragons and doesn't even reach 2000. It's actually behind Shelgon (1958) and over 500CP away from the next on the list Kingdra (2424).

Jul 13, 2020 · Not sure what math you're doing but swablu is 40% encounter rate on that route. So with 1/8192 odds times 40% you have 98.9% chance of a shiny after that many encounters. Very very unlucky hunt but not unheard of

Sep 19, 2023 · Good points. Altaria can provide apples, eggs, and beans, so the extra inventory space can't hurt to offset it "only" providing a rare berry. My Swablu drops berries and eggs like crazy, so I think I will focus on raising it into an Altaria after my Gengar starts dropping mushrooms at level 30. Just need to decide on potato and leek droppers now.

Apr 17, 2015 · The first one, my most recent one, is my casual Brave natured Altaria named Skye. I caught her as a Swablu during my Omega Ruby playthrough and she was the go to Mega of my team. I maxed out her affection in Amie and she's currently at level 100 and has retired to one of my helpful Pokemon with Fly, Thief, Dragon Pulse, and Earthquake.

I like that you went with swablu and not altaria, it seems alot of people tend to use final evo's of pokemon for their paradoxes and rarely use pokemon in their first or second stages (when talking about 3 stage chains)

Jun 23, 2021 · Skarmory is such a good defensive option for the team and can actually deal decent damage, a pre-poisoned swellow with Guts is also incredible and hits super hard, and Altaria becomes one of the most dominant sweepers in this game after getting Altarianite, and it also loses the flying-type so you won't overlap types that much.
